Research Scientist (Chemistry)

Qualification : M.Sc Organic Chemistry.

Experience :

• >3 Years experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with a CRO, although fresh graduates will be considered also.

• Experience with parallel synthesis would be an advantage.

Key Performance Area :

• Participate in a laboratory-based team to produce novel compounds.

• Evaluate synthetic routes in the laboratory to determine optimum/preferred conditions.

• Prepare written reports according to company format.

• Work to good laboratory standard in accordance with company practice and COSHH/SHE legislation.

• Provide sound scientific input into problem solving discussions.

Key Competence Area :

• A strong organic chemist practically and theoretically.

• Good record-keeping skills.

• Ability to communicate in English and discuss results in an effective manner.

• A reliable and cooperative team player.

• A self-motivated and enthusiastic person with a flexible approach to working hours.

• Must have very good IT skills and knowledge of using MSWord, MS Power-point and MS Excel.
